I start with a story I want to tell. I want to convey it visually, but I may include writing as well as layers of paint, lettering, and collage materials of all kinds. I'm reflecting that our lives are constantly changing and our stories are rich and complex. Some layers are bold and some delicate. Some parts get covered and others get peeled back, revealing deeper layers. There's a messy richness, beauty, and magic in it.
