After a full career in graphic design and taking a workshop in oil and cold wax medium, I started painting. I fell in love with the medium and knew I wanted to paint in that way. My paintings took on many shapes, including figurative work and imaginary landscapes. My goal was to find a way to abstract a further.

Discovering my love of the properties of shapes, lines surfaces, spatial relationships and interactions is what drives me. I’m excited about finding my way into the paintings by a sense of being seen, and not seen, memories of places I been or have only imagined. I explore the ‘finding’ in the work. Living here in the Bay area is my constant visual inspiration. Weaving it all together through my painting practice is my greatest challenge and dance.
